Crook & The Bluff
Crook & The Bluff
Crook & The Bluff presents:

Ménage à Trois

Experience a new kind of show where three bands occupy ONE stage simultaneously in a truly unique musical act. Watch the mesmerizing playlist unfold as the night evolves from a lovers’ mixtape, with the alternation of songs, moods and colors to a true musician’s orgy, with all members engaged in a brilliant episode of musical cooperation, expression, and ecstasy.

This first installment of Ménage à Trois will entangle the flavors of Crook & the Bluff, Candy’s River House, and PIG EON into a debaucherous amalgamation of rock ‘n’ roll, americana, and psychedelia. A powerful night of non-stop music and an exotic display of artistry, in which the musicians will first push one another through playful competition, only to join together to bring the room to an awe-inspiring climax.

Crook & The Bluff is a 3 piece psychedelic, western blues band from SLC, UT. Know for their stage presence and colossal sound, the band transports the audience to a state of mind normally reserved for taking hallucinogens in the desert under a blanket of stars. "Down to the Styx (the band's debut album) is a rise and fall of a drawn-out song—eroded down to the twang of the guitar and redolent of all psychedelic hearts longing for the Southwestern desert. Kirk Dath's voice is soulful and sooty, like iron-crusted boots kicked around in the sand until they're tattered but still barely intact, elation and agony both held in the shreds. Purist blues and squealing harmonica—mixed with slithering, vintage rock n' roll—sounds like Timothy Leary in the Wild West. Check out "Devilish Deeds." The quality of recording and use of heavily echoing reverb brings to mind a sweltering twilight performance with sound waves bouncing off hoodoos and up toward the stars. Tad Wilford's licks will bring out your most wicked fever dreams, à la "Honey." This gorgeous and gritty album has already ranked up on my summer time "trip" list 'cause this layer of downtempo grit reminds that we're just animals inside." –LeAundra Jeffs
Candy's River House
Candy's River House
Those looking to satisfy a vintage rock sweet tooth need look no further than power trio "Candy's River House".

This group leaves little to be desired at their all out, high energy live shows. Jordan Young at the helm with guitar/vox, Joey Davis on drums and Nathan Simpson on bass, the group has played at top venues all over the country and shared the stage with the likes of Walter Parks, Tracorum, Matisyahu, Indigenous, Old Man Markley, Jared James Nichols, Eric McFadden, Royal Bliss and White Lion, to name a few.

The dusty throated Young peels through heavy layers of blazing guitar and a groovy, 4 on the floor rhythm section. Bluesy, and soulful rock driven anthems – and performances – for a massive summer festival, or local night-club.

Candy's River House is the next generation, the offspring of every hard rock band leading the way over the last 40 years. With pieces of Nazareth, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cream and Deep Purple all colliding to create a solid album and live performance.

Candy's River House is a band that stands the test of time, and travel. Jordan Young, being the founding member, has led this rock trio from coast to coast since 2009. Having played and developed his classy style in middle Tennessee, "CRH"
is laden with a southern flare [and fire] which is apparent in Jordan's guitar work and lyrics.

With songs like "Single-wide Sally" and "Only Ten I See" hitting you right out of the gate, it's a sort of southern sunshine drenched, rock & roll powered good time for a broad range of fans nationwide.

Originally, as a self managed/produced group the guys stay very busy on the road with high energy, relentlessly paced shows. With the release of their new EP * STOLEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT *, the group is anxiously looking forward to the future, the road… and as always, wild rock fans and great rock shows.
A band made of Bad Decisions, Shame & Regret. We've been described as "Dr. John meets Tom Waits" and "Boring Folk Rock for Hipsters".
