Book Of Love
New York, NY – In response to the growing demand from Book of Love fans and synth pop music enthusiasts, Notefornote/Rhino Records is releasing BOOK OF LOVE, The SIRE Years (1985-1993) on January 19, 2018. This CD anthology, assembled by the label, includes 20 newly re-mastered fan favorites and an 8-page booklet of rare photos and memorabilia. To promote the new project, Book of Love is also embarking on a 2018 “The Sire Years” Tour in which the band will visit cities across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

From Book of Love: “Just out of art school, we were signed to Sire in 1984. This was our dream label, being the home of our main influences like the Ramones and Talking Heads as well as a new artist that showed some promise, Madonna.”

In 2016, Book of Love marked their 30th Anniversary with the release of “MMXVI- Book of Love-The 30th Anniversary Collection” available digitally on Rhino Records. The band’s 30th Anniversary tour included over 25 shows, including sold out shows in New York, SF, Dallas, New Orleans, Houston, Detroit, Atlanta and Austin!

BOOK OF LOVE, The SIRE Years (1985-1993) is available for presale beginning on January 1, 2018. Click here to order this new CD. For more information about the 2018 “The Sire Years” Tour, fans should check the band’s website or visit their Facebook Page.

About Book of Love
One of the first wave electronic groups, Book of Love emerged out of the New York City scene in the mid-80s and was signed by the legendary Seymour Stein to Sire Records. On April 1, 1986, art-students-turned musicians: Susan Ottaviano, Ted Ottaviano, Jade Lee and Lauren Roselli released the bands debut album. Between 1986 and 1993, the band released four studio albums and had a steady string of influential club hits, including the classics “Boy”, “I Touch Roses”, the ebullient “You Make Me Feel So Good” and “Pretty Boys and Pretty Girls/Tubular Bells” which crossed over on the Billboard Hot 100. The band’s music was featured in the classic films: Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Silence of the Lambs and American Psycho
